Street Preachers armed with bullhorns assault the Jehovah’s Witness booth on Decatur Street in New Orleans with the Truth, the Word of God As far as I know no Christian has ever done this. I think for too long we believers in Jesus Christ have let these devils operate unopposed.. Peoples souls are at stake. The JW’s play for keeps! Pray the Lord will soon destroy this wicked Anti Christ cult from the top on down and make save some folks out of it. A good website for refuting the claims of the Watchtower is The preacher are Lonnie Matherne & James Miller of Louisiana. There was also a conversation with a young man who appeared to be a Gnostic. He was talking a lot of highfalutin knowledge or whatever. He needs to repent and come to the true Jesus Christ of the Bible. I told him that I would pray for him.

Call the show on Sundays 4:00-6:00pm CDT: 1-512-686-0279

We welcome your comments on the open blog thread for this show.

YouTube comments are at present disabled in our channel, to the displeasure of some. However, each video has a prominent link to the associated open thread that appears on our blog. In the past we’ve tried opening up the channel to comments, but we found that a very high number of episodes wound up being flooded with a combination of spam, long winded apologists, and various obscene or misogynistic comments directed at various hosts by people with an axe to grind. This seems to be the nature of YouTube comment sections, in our experience.

We do moderate the blog, the same way that we moderate chat during the show, as well as comments on our Facebook group. For comment sections that are “officially” associated with our show (and, to a much lesser extent, channels that may give the unintended appearance of being official), we prefer not to play host to straight up ad hominem attacks and bigotry. As a general policy we do not block commenters simply on the basis of disagreement with our point of view. However, we do prefer discussion environments that don’t actively chase off more reasonable contributors.

WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.

The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

Most Reverend Steven J. Lopes is the first bishop of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter and pastor to all its members and clergy in the United States and Canada. He was born in 1975 in Fremont, California to Barbara Jane and (the late) Dr. José de Oliveira Lopes. The only child to two educators – Bishop Lopes was formed and educated by Catholic schools in the Golden State. In high school, he began to discern the possibility of a vocation to the priesthood. He continued his discernment during his studies at the St. Ignatius Institute at the University of San Francisco, where he majored in theology and minored in philosophy and German. Steven entered St. Patrick’s Seminary in Menlo Park, California for one year, then completed his seminary education at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. He studied philosophy and liturgy at the University of Innsbruck. He then earned three degrees, including a doctorate in sacred theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he has also served as an adjunct faculty member. On June 23, 2001, he was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of San Francisco by Cardinal William J. Levada (then Archbishop Levada). As a priest of the Archdiocese, he served as an associate pastor at two parishes: St. Patrick Catholic Church in San Francisco and St. Anselm Catholic Church in Ross, Calif. In 2005, he was named an official of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, the Vatican office responsible for promoting and preserving Catholic teaching. For seven of his 10-plus years at the Vatican, he served as secretary to the Cardinal Prefect. He was named a monsignor in 2010. Pope Francis named him the Bishop of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter on Nov. 24, 2015. He succeeded Msgr. Jeffrey N. Steenson [ as leader of the Ordinariate on February 2, 2016. For his motto, Bishop Lopes chose “Magna Opera Domini,” (Great are the works of the Lord.) By these words, the new bishop expresses his awe of God’s grace in drawing His people to the fullness of Eucharistic communion. Bishop Lopes is a chaplain to the Order of Malta and is a full member of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
