This is the video you have all been waiting for, my road trip to Tucson, Arizona. This was my first road trip filmed on camera where I have gone out of state and stayed in a hotel room. It took around 4 hours to get to Tucson. We left our house at 9:20 AM.
While in Tucson, I filmed at many buildings. Buildings that I have filmed include the following: One South Church Street, the Bank of America Plaza, Park Place Mall, the Bank of the West Building, the University of Arizona, and more. Videos from the U of A, the Bank of the West Building (outside downtown), and the Park Place Mall have already been uploaded.
On Friday, June 7, 2013 at 12:00 PM MDT (GMT-6), the full hotel tour went live. Be sure to go over and watch the hotel tour after this video; it is a far better tour than the one of the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, NM. Included in the tour is a tour of the public areas, a full room and bathroom tour, a tour of the exclusive executive 7th floor, a tour of the pool (both in the day and at night), a tour of the fitness center, and finally a few rides on the elevators.
I am considering doing a few videos using the road footage seen in this video. The videos would be a time lapse drive on the roads, sped up by 800-1000% of course, and would have no talking. Please leave a comment below saying which roads you would want to see a full time lapse drive on.
Thank you to everyone who watches my videos; without you viewers, I would have no reason to make these videos. The Tucson Road Trip was a huge success and I went on another road trip to Albuquerque in mid-June. I also had my first meetup with another YouTube elevator filmer, cubsrule2040. On spring break 2014, I hope to go to Phoenix.

What I love about this drive is when you leave Tonopah, there’s a billboard for the McDonald’s in Hawthorne, proclaiming it’s “Just Ahead!”. But “Just Ahead” actually means 100 miles — totally worth it, though, for a McFlurry.

I made this trip in June 2018. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras – one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).
