SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The rain earlier on Saturday didn’t keep people from around the area from checking out the Greek Festival here in Springfield.

It’s a family-oriented celebration of everything Greek, including native dancing and delicious food.

The event also had a photo booth where people could dresss up as Greek gods; there was also a silent auction and rides for the kids.

Those attending told us it’s about experiencing different cultures and different foods and that they saw a lot of commoraderie and togetherness at the festival.

“We just wanted to try somethign different, just to see what it’s like, see what the environemtn is like, the culture. We had never been to an orthodox church ebfore so we wanted to see what it’s like,” Otis Marshall said.

The Greek Festival is held by the Saint Thomas the Apostle Orthodox Church every year.

Excellent Review

Travis and the staff at Acis Computers have been managing our domain registration for years. As the default IT department of a large and growing church, I have always appreciated their courtesy and excellent customer service as much as their expertise in handling all things related to our online presence. […] they never treat me as small or unimportant.
I was so impressed by the way they recently solved a issue with the church’s change of website hosts, I have decided to move all our email hosting to Acis.

Street Interviews on sex trafficking from the streets of downtown Springfield, MO. A big thank you to Ben Clanton for filming this segment as well as editing a good portion of it. Also, thank you to Chelsea Jones and Beth Beeson for being my spokespeople on this video.
