Best Riding in Hurricane – Holy Guacamole

Views:31|Rating:0.00|View Time:12:1Minutes|Likes:0|Dislikes:0
Riding the Guacamole, Holy Guacamole and Margarita trails just north of Hurricane is a must ride for any proficient mountain bike rider. I would say that it is the best overall trail in the region, offering spectacular views along the mesa edge along Margarita and Holy Guacamole then looping around and riding through, in, and around the “gooseberry” type mounds for a skate park type experience on Guacamole. I could ride this trail over and over again…simply awesome ride…ENJOY!!

Riding Moab’s Incredible White Rim Trail

Views:86|Rating:0.00|View Time:14:7Minutes|Likes:0|Dislikes:0
This video covers the three day, 100 mile, excursion along Moab’s famous White Rim Trail. The trail is not very technically challenging, so very rideable for most cyclists, but it is quite physically challenging. There are numerous punchy climbs, and it ends with a steep 1,000 foot climb from the river valley to the top of the Rim. Cyclists should be in good condition to ride approximately 30 miles per day. But, it’s a once in a lifetime experience!! I highly recommend this ride for anyone who loves fantastic scenery!

This has to be by far the most fun place I have eaten in a long time. Great place to take the whole family especially if you like cowboy stuff. I got the Brisket and it was by far the best I have had in Arizona. The band was great. People here were having such a good time. I always wanted to come here and I’m glad I made the trip. It was well worth it. The bull riding and other events here just added to the country flavor and ambiance. I highly recommend making the trip here if you’ve been thinking about it. You won’t regret it, especially on bull riding nights (Wednesday & Friday) Starts at 8:00pm with breaks throughout the night. Outside eating was the best. Felt like a bunch of early American Cowboy Settlers having a celebration. Absolutely 5 Stars!

*480fps | Jonesboro, GA | Riding Down Fayetteville Rd (Crossing Flint River) | [email protected]

Okay, so here is my commute back from Fayetteville, GA on State Rd 54 or Fayetteville Rd, going downhill at about 30 mph with a speed limit for cars being 55 mph. This is cycling in Georgia for you, cars speed doing 65 usually and because of construction of the bridge that crosses flint river, the cars did more like 50 mph, but I hit 30.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed my well thought out video made just for this channel with a better intro and outro, credits, captions and transitions. There is still more to come, and yes these videos ARE 480 frames per second at normal speed.

Riding Zipper – Festival of the Lakes Hammond

Two chicas ride on the Zipper amusement ride at the Festival of the Lakes in Hammond, Indiana (Wolf Lake)
Video taken July 2014

From sunlitegodis:
Some of my earliest memories involve going to the carnival for what used to be called August Fest. Now, for the first time, after several years since Festival of Lakes reintroduced NW Indiana to the great entertainment Hammond has to offer, the carnival and surrounding events/activities has hit a high. The amusement rides in the midway were excellent, the food vendors were moved to a location reminiscent of how things were back in the day, and the overall Wolf Lake park layout (for things like concert area, beer garden, etc) was great.

I didn’t get a meat cone (it’s tastier looking than it sounds), but the yard stick full of chocolate-covered strawberries was fabulous. For the first time in a long time, I’m looking forward to next year’s Fest!

Take your family and friends to Hammond’s Festival of Lakes in 2015.

Riding the Detroit Q Line Light Rail, Grand Blvd. to Downtown

Once those two wonderful ladies told me that the QLine was free to ride until July 1, I wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to ride. I parked my car on a side street off Woodward, hopped on the streetcar (hey, that’s what they are) at Grand Blvd., and rode south.

If you’re a Detroit native or visitor who hasn’t been back in 20 or 30 years (or even 10), the changes to Woodward and downtown will absolutely amaze you. There’s rehab and construction all the way from Grand Blvd. to the river. Wayne State University is a huge presence, as are the sports teams. Crowds in front of theaters on a late Sunday afternoon are always a good sign.

The old Fox Theater, which saw Detroit both in its glory days as the center of the American car industry and the WWII “Arsenal of Democracy” and during its 70’s-80’s-90’s nadir, looks out over a bustling Woodward Ave. once again.

The People Mover has gotten a makeover, with gleaming blue cars.

And I never thought I’d be able to say “FedEx Office”, “Starbucks”, or “American Apparel” and “Detroit” in the same breath. But I can!

It’s a shame that big old Hudson’s Department Store isn’t still here, but I’m sure some big chain will smell the meat a-cookin. It’s great that things are happening in downtown Detroit outside of Greektown.

As a side note, Woodward Avenue has some seriously beautiful churches. You Detroit residents who are architectural buffs are very fortunate

From 9,600 ft up to 14,439 ft and back down. One of the sickest and toughest rides we’ve done. Getting up to summit is no joke and riding back down is gnarly!

On July 24, 2010, 61 people from across the nation gathered in the hills of West Virginia for the 10th and largest Hillbilly Rokon Romp. They brought with them 53 Rokons and enjoyed a week of good friends, good riding, and good times.
