Album: Rebirth Of Kirk Franklin

Lyrics:
Why do you cry? He has risen.
Why are you weeping? He’s not dead.
Why do you cry? he has risen.
Why are you weeping? He’s not dead.
He paid it all on that lonely highway(hayyyy). And his anointing I can feel. He shed his blood (ohh ohh ohh). For my
Transgressions (ohh ohh ohh). And by his stripes we are healed.

Why do you cry? He has risen.
Why are you weeping? He’s not dead.
So as you go through lifes journey(neeeee). Don’t you worry lift up your head. Don’t you cry (ohh ohh ohh) stop your weeping
(ohh ohh ohh) He has risen He’s not dead.

[Chorus]
Don’t cry
Wipe your eyes
He’s not dead.

(ohh ohh ohh ohh)
Don’t weep
He’s not asleep
Je-hovah
He’s not dead

(ohh ohh ohh ohh)
Don’t cry
Wipe your eyes
He’s not dead

[with modulation repeat 4x’s]

Kansas City Choir Boy is a love song for the computer age and a product of the 24-hour news cycle that feeds on the stories of the anonymous “missing.” A theatricalized concept album about love altered by unexpected fate, the show tells the story of two lovers in small town America who separate when one goes in search of her destiny and then disappears. Borrowing themes from ancient myth, the show features songs by acclaimed composer/lyricist Todd Almond performed by rock icon Courtney Love and Mr. Almond, joined by a chorus of sirens, and a string quartet with Musical Direction by David Bloom. Following a sold-out run in New York, this new musical will have Douglas audiences thrilled by this “irresistible gem” (Billboard).

On stage at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City Oct 15 – Nov 8, 2015. More info:

Comes from the Hebrew word “galil”, which translated means “a circle”. The word “nations” comes from the Hebrew word “goim”, which translated means “gentiles”. Thus, “Galilee of the nations” refers to the region of the Gentiles, reflecting the fact that it was inhabited by both Jews and Gentiles.

“Jesus went about all the cities and villages of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people”. (Matthew 9:35)

We, as a congregation, are known by the appellation, Galilee, and resolve to engage in ministries which meet human need. (Matthew 25: 31-40) We further resolve, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, to carry out the mandate of the church of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20); which is to take the gospel of the kingdom of God to the uttermost parts of the Earth.
