2001 E Grand River Lansing MI Church

Plymouth Congregational Church has been a pillar of hope & faith in the Lansing community for many years, noted for a culture of inclusiveness, and a reflection of spiritual values. The church sits on five acres of prime Lansing property, and encompasses over 36,000 square feet under one roof Circumstances over the past years is causing a need for the present congregation to down size.

Here is the opportunity. The congregation will consider selling the building, and land as one sale. They will also consider selling some of the land for development, or will look at sharing the present church building with another congregation. Terms of sale, and/or lease are very attractive.

These 19th century Tribeca neighborhood New York City buildings are located on Church St across the street from the Tribeca Grand Hotel. We stayed at the hotel in May 2011 and this video is the view from our window. It is also the same time and location of a very cool HDR photo that I took of New York City.

Hairy Larry opened Blues Alley on August 1, 1995 down in the old part of Nettleton Ave. One the first blues jam houses in Jonesboro Arkansas. Anybody could get up there and play their hearts out,and most did! I saw a lot of acts there! It closed years later and the building was torn down. Mark D

Austin Nevada – Part 2 “The Way It Was Grand Tour”

It all started in 1862 when a pony express ride by the name of W.H. Talcott’s horse kicked up a rock at the mouth of pony canyon which turned out to be high grade silver and gold ore. This led to a silver rush by the time the mid 1860s rolled around this town boasted a lumber mill, saloons, brothels, assay office, banks, hospital, hotels, telegraph station, four hundred houses and at least 10k residents. Although floods, fires and elements have erased a large portion of this living ghost town what does remain are some of the finest structures in the wild west such as its frontier churches. Austin held the Lander County seat for many decades it also brought millions of dollars in silver revenue and for a short time hosted the Nevada Central Railroad. This was a town that boasted the good, bad and the ugly everything from epidemics to axe yielding men and frontier justice. Austin not only has one of the oldest saloons/hotels in the state but one of the last Greek revival court houses in the nation and one of the oldest operating Nevadan newspapers that still exist today. Today life has slowed down in Austin to about 200 residents. Many shops thrive on tourism and the sale of there jewelry. Life in this canyon dates back to 3,500 years ago when the Shoshone used Pony Canyon to hunt and sustain themselves. We welcome you to journey with us as I take our friends and viewers to the way it was!

Taos New Mexico and Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.

Cruise I took to visit Taos New Mexico and the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge over the February 28th weekend 2010. I was going to also take a couple video clips at the Taos Pueblo but decided not to after seeing a Pueblo cop busting a tourist ahead of me for a speeding ticket. And he was traveling slow from what I witnessed. Just killed my interest to visit. I lost my taste for spending 15 to 20 bucks to get in just to take a minute or so video clip if you know what I mean. Just like that poor Joe I’ve been victimized myself in the past. Instead of trying to fleece the public as a funding source they should be glad you came to visit at all. OK Rants done.
