Listen to the podcast episode here:

Fr. Ken Himes (Boston College, Theology Department) shares his story about the unexpected people who changed the course of his life, helping this cynical kid figure out what the point of it all was and in the process giving him a new way to look at the world.

“People came into my life that didn’t have to come into my life. These weren’t relatives, these weren’t people who owed me anything. But they took some time, they exerted some energy, they thought ‘this guy’s worth talking to’. Mentors are one of the great gifts of life… To have those kinds of people step into your life is an incredible, rich grace.” “It is all gift.” – Fr. Ken Himes

The Church has been infiltrated by bad men. Communists, freemasons, homosexuals. This was going on long before the Second Vatican Council. What we need to do is endure. Pray, fast, take the faith seriously, study the faith, and stay near Our Lady at the foot of the Cross. Christ had His Passion & the Body of Christ must have it too. For more please visit & remember to say 3 Hail Marys for the priest

“Who are Eastern Catholics?” PART 2 with Fr. Maximos of Holy Resurrection Monastery

Views:6288|Rating:5.00|View Time:8:3Minutes|Likes:46|Dislikes:0
Catherine Alexander continues to speak with Father Maximos of Holy Resurrection Romanian Catholic Monastery in Newberry Springs, CA about Eastern Catholic identity.

Questions Asked:
4. With this balance of being fully Orthodox and fully Catholic, some people believe the Eastern Catholic Churches are a bridge for unity between the Orthodox and Catholic Churches. They say unity is the main purpose of the Eastern Catholic Churches, and a failure to bring about full unity means the Eastern Catholic experiment was a failure. Would you shed some light on this position?

5. With those three things in mind, what would you say it means to be an Eastern Catholic?
