Enjoy this driving video that takes you into Denali National Park on the paved portion of the park road — the first 15 miles which are open to personal vehicles. and provide driving videos and stories to help you plan your trip. I made this trip in May/June, 2016. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera, mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras – one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

This drive samples the first 36 miles (on the east side) of Denali Highway, from the community of Paxson to Maclaren Summit, the second highest highway pass in Alaska. Then, due to inclement weather and a shortage of time, I turned around and backtracked to Paxson.

Dashcam video of accused Charleston shooter, Dylann Roof’s, arrest
