The show features LSU Professor of Public Administration, Dr Roy Heidelberg- one of three professors who prepared the study on the potential financial, economic and socio-economic impact of forming the city of St. George, who’ll elaborate on some of those findings. You’ll also hear from Baton Rouge Metropolitan Councilwoman C. Denise Marcelle who opposes the incorporation, will also be commenting on many of her concerns about the impact of the new city on the parish. Later on in the show we’ll be hearing from Baton Rouge Attorney Yigal Bander, one of the plaintiff’s attorneys involved in the lawsuit against the City of Central following it’s incorporation in 2005, concerning the basis for possible legal challenges to the incorporation efforts that could take place before a vote or even after a successful vote for the incorporation. This is an awesome show and extremely informative. I believe anyone who will be called upon to vote on this issue can certainly benefit from learning more about the potential impact on the City of Baton Rouge and the entire parish.

Sundays at 6:30PM Ch.19 – WBTR-TV Cox/AT&T U-Verse.

Walking on day 2 to check out the flood waters in our house.

I was lucky enough to have insurance on my home and its contents. Many of my friends did not. I started a GoFundMe to help some of the people I know that lost everything, and do not have a insurance as a backup. Help these folks get back on their feet. gofundme.com/2ff4tpgs

Down Here Waiting – The Lighthouse Singers,”Reaching Higher Heights – Live in Baton Rouge”

“It all began in 1981 when The Lighthouse Gospel Singers formed a young group with their sons (ranging from ages seven to twelve) and began calling them The Lighthouse Juniors.” The Lighhouse Juniors would perform popular music at churches and gospel related functions. As they matured, they began writing and arranging their own music. In 1988 they produced their first album entitled “I’ve Been Down So Long” that was co-produced by Elton Mitchell, formerly with Willie Neal Johnson and The Gospel Keynotes. By 1995, their success in their hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was so great that they would go on to record their first national release, “A New Direction”. It was recorded in Jackson, Mississippi on The Melendo Record Label, and produced by Mr. Leonard Williams, formerly of the renowned Williams Brothers. Because of God’s blessings along with the maturity these young men have demonstrated throughout their musical and spiritual growth, The Lighhouse Juniors are now known as The Lighthouse Singers. They are now primed and poised to reach and minister to God’s people in song. They have 2 live projects now available under their neew lable, Innovative Records. there is also dvd’s available too. The third project has high anticipation awaiting it’s arrival in February of 2008. To schedule an engagement, call 225-273-6351…
