Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
– increases imagination and understanding
– improves your listening skills
– improves your own spoken accent
– learn while on the move
– reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.”
Liberal arts education (from Latin liberalis “free” and ars “art or principled practice”) can claim to be the oldest programme of higher education in Western history. It has its origin in the attempt to discover first principles – ‘those universal principles which are the condition of the possibility of the existence of anything and everything’. The liberal arts are those subjects or skills that in classical antiquity were considered essential for a free person (liberalis, “worthy of a free person”) to know in order to take an active part in civic life, something that (for ancient Greece) included participating in public debate, defending oneself in court, serving on juries, and most importantly, military service. Grammar, logic, and rhetoric were the core liberal arts (the trivium), while arithmetic, geometry, the theory of music, and astronomy also played a – somewhat lesser – part in education (as the quadrivium).Liberal arts today can refer to academic subjects such as literature, philosophy, mathematics, and social and physical sciences; and liberal arts education can refer to overall studies in a liberal arts degree program. For both interpretations, the term generally refers to matters not relating to the professional, vocational, or technical curriculum.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
Big Bang Theory from Calvary Church in Greensboro, North Carolina made it to the second Round Callbacks for Large human video at the National Fine Arts Festival 2014 in Columbus Ohio.
This video speaks against the hopelessness that is Evolution and the “Big Bang Theory.” According to this theory, man is nothing more than the creation of chance, an accident. We are not important. But According to the Gospel of the Holy Bible (Psalm 139), we are are “Fearfully and wonderfully made.” God designed us individually and for a unique purpose. We are royalty, and we ARE specially created!
About the video:
-The video begins with the creation of the world according to the big bang.
-The big bang takes place (with the explosion)
-Everyone creates a circle and rolls to the center of the stage to create the world.
-water and land form (a fish swims out of the water and forms legs, as it evolves onto the land).
-A Dinosuar is created and is killed by a meteor
-The symbol of Evolution of man appears, from monkey to man.
-The blonde girl at the end of the evolution line is the main character we follow. (she is overwhelmed by the emptiness of her life, and has bought in to the lie of evolution that her life has no purpose. She believes her existence is just a product of chance)
-The girl is tormented and led around by demons (She shoots herself) then we rewind her story to show how she got to this point.
-The girl was married and pregnant, but her husband leaves her, and right afterwards she finds out she has had a miscarriage.
-She decides she wants to die because she has no more reason to live
-She sees a glimpse of Jesus (Freeze framed “jesus carrying the cross and a crowd”), but as she goes towards it, her mind is clouded, and it turns back to evolution.
-She is about to shoot herself, then we go into the voiceover.
-The girl has a revelation of Jesus and who she is in Jesus.
-When the voiceover ends and the girl comes back out, the demons surround her.
-Jesus pulls her from her sin and despair and places the burden on himself.
-The girl realizes the magnitude of Jesus’ love for her as she sees him beaten and crucified.
-The girl loses hope after jesus dies and she sees the tomb is empty. She is just about ready to take her life one last time, when Jesus reappears alive and silences the demons once and for all.

I was near the corner of Florence & Normandie in South Central Los Angeles, the place where the 1992 L.A. Riots began. I explored a HUGE abandoned church built in 1914, for nearly 3 hours. It was very interesting, but sad at the same time. Nothing is sacred.

An amateur parody of Steven Seagal’s acting… Well, it is also a tribute, because I like him a lot. This video was made in two three hour sessions, in the forest behind our lovely town of Trenčín. The language spoken in video is Slovak. It was fun.
The title of the video means : Deadly Death 3: Revenge of Death
The soundtrack is made by BT & Nick Phoenix. I do not own any of the music.
Sorry for the low quality, it was shot in evening with light not so good.
