Mountain Biking Rossland, BC – Seven Summits Trail

Views:1292|Rating:4.00|View Time:10:20Minutes|Likes:4|Dislikes:1
The Seven Summits mountain bike ride covers approximately 30 kms along a ridge line between seven mountains in the range just west of Rossland, BC. The ride offers spectacular views of the West Kootenay mountain range. It is frequently ranked as one of British Columbia’s best mountain bike trails and among the best in all of North America. A steep 600 meter climb at the outset is followed by a slightly technical, undulating and flowing trail which then decents nearly 1,000 meters towards the town of Rossland. Enroute, the trail crosses the upper slopes of the Red Mountain ski resort.

Mountain Biking Fruita, CO – Zippity Do Da

The Zippity Do Da trail in Fruita, Colorado is a fast, fun, flowy downhill run that most riders should be able to do. It also offers sweeping views of the Fruita agricultural valley. The trail is ranked a black on Trailforks but I would suggest it is very ridable for those cyclists more comfortable on intermediate rides. There are no technical sections but there are a couple of steep but smooth runouts which is probably the only reason it could be ranked for experts.

Mountain Biking Moab, UT – Slickrock

Slickrock is one of the most famous mountain bike trails anywhere! Its famous because its unique and very fun. I would also suggest that it is not as challenging as it’s reputation would suggest. While it is ranked expert, I think it is very rideable for most riders, the key challenge is to have sufficient strength and fitness to ride up/down the dozens of punchy climbs. On the trail you will encounter a wide range of riders, from young kids to retirees as well as the noisier motorcycles and off road vehicles. Enjoy!!

Best Riding in Hurricane – Holy Guacamole

Views:31|Rating:0.00|View Time:12:1Minutes|Likes:0|Dislikes:0
Riding the Guacamole, Holy Guacamole and Margarita trails just north of Hurricane is a must ride for any proficient mountain bike rider. I would say that it is the best overall trail in the region, offering spectacular views along the mesa edge along Margarita and Holy Guacamole then looping around and riding through, in, and around the “gooseberry” type mounds for a skate park type experience on Guacamole. I could ride this trail over and over again…simply awesome ride…ENJOY!!

Riding Moab’s Incredible White Rim Trail

Views:86|Rating:0.00|View Time:14:7Minutes|Likes:0|Dislikes:0
This video covers the three day, 100 mile, excursion along Moab’s famous White Rim Trail. The trail is not very technically challenging, so very rideable for most cyclists, but it is quite physically challenging. There are numerous punchy climbs, and it ends with a steep 1,000 foot climb from the river valley to the top of the Rim. Cyclists should be in good condition to ride approximately 30 miles per day. But, it’s a once in a lifetime experience!! I highly recommend this ride for anyone who loves fantastic scenery!
