  1. The Bible tells us that Jesus said that one being "born again" is being born of WATER and SPIRIT. Baptism is the imparting of the Spirit. Jesus even repeats in the same story that one is saved from ABOVE (Spirit). He chastizes Nicodemus for not knowing this as a member of the Sanhedrin because any Jewish official would/should know that baptism/mikvah is the tangible work of the Spirit. It is not the disposition of ones mind that saves. A personal decision is not ones salvation. Repentance is nice but is not what saves one. The Community of Christ (RLDS) follows the Christ's exhortation in the Bible to baptize. This video tells the tale of someone who rejects Christ's biblical direction.
