Harvey is an ordained minister who has spent his career in ministry and service. He has served as a pastor at churches in Oklahoma City, Norman, and Tulsa. He also served two years as a missionary in southern Africa with his wife, Jenifer.
In late 2012 Harvey was asked by newly elected Congressman Jim Bridenstine to serve on his DC staff. Although the opportunity required moving his family of six halfway across the country to work in a field in which he had no previous experience, he made the move because he believed in Jim’s vision and was excited about the chance to serve the great people of Oklahoma.
Harvey grew up in Oklahoma City and attended both Oklahoma City and Putnam City public schools. He graduated from Putnam City West High School. He went on to graduate from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in family psychology. He also has a master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Jenifer, and together they have four children, Tabitha, Benjamin, Gracelyn, and Judah.
Harvey believes in the truth that the real test of greatness is a willingness to serve. Harvey’s life has been defined by service both professionally and personally. He is seeking public office as a means not to be served but to serve.
